In 2009, I went to the UK (from Germany) to do my Bachelor's degree. As expected (studying psychology had been my dream since the age of 12), I loved the subject, got my First Class (Hons.) degree in 2012 and went on to another city in England to continue my studies. After completing a Master's degree in Psychological Research Methods, another big dream came true for me: I was able to secure a fully funded PhD position.
While this was one of the proudest achievements of my life and I thoroughly enjoyed life as a PhD student, I began to feel blocked in my work after the second year.
No matter how much I wanted to and how guilty I felt for not taking advantage of this opportunity, I just couldn't get myself to read, write, or continue to work on my experiments. I became depressed and felt completely hopeless about life. Everything around me seemed to crumble, not just my university work.
For me, this was the painful beginning of awakening to my true self, becoming conscious of my power as the creator of my own reality, and discovering what my true calling was - but none of this happened quickly.
Therapy helped a bit, spending more time with my family again after living in another country for 7 years helped, books helped.
However, what finally created the biggest shift in my life and opened my eyes to new possibilities, was stumbling across the "Law of Attraction" (especially as it is taught by Esther/Abraham Hicks), and beginning to meditate for a few minutes every day. My world, that had been covered by a veil of constant worry before, began to look brighter. I found myself being able to change things about my experience that I thought were unchangeable. Things that felt like miracles began happening in my life.
This path eventually made it abundantly clear to me that I had no interest in working as a researcher/lecturer, and that I was at my happiest when I was working with people 1:1, helping others discover what I had found for myself and supporting them on their own journey towards a lighter, happier and much more fulfilling life experience. And that is how I ended up here!

I believe that there is nothing more powerful in helping us live happy and fulfilling lives (and creating a better world) than loving and accepting ourselves unconditionally. It is a lack of self-love that causes us to think and behave in ways that make us suffer and that affect others negatively. We are always unconditionally worthy of being kind to ourselves and allowing ourselves to feel good.
As we learn to love ourselves, we begin to hear our intuition, improve our relationships with others, speak our truth when appropriate, set healthy boundaries with people, gain confidence, and live more in alignment with our deepest callings.
We all have both feminine and masculine energy within us. Our past experiences in life affect the way these energies show up in our thoughts, feelings, and actions. Sometimes one or both energies become weakened and out of balance with each other.
Looking at what is and isn't working in our lives through this lens and learning how to bring these aspects of ourselves into harmony can have a profound effect on our sense of inner peace and on our satisfaction in romantic relationships.
While actions are important, the creating we do in our own minds plays an even bigger role in how our lives unfold and how they feel.
Once we begin to notice and consciously play with the thoughts we think all day, we begin to realise that we have much more power over our lives than it seemed when we let our mind's chatter be on autopilot.
While this scientifically supported psychological truth is always a part of my coaching, I am also happy to focus on the spiritual "Law of Attraction" with those who are interested. For me, learning about how our thoughts create our reality has created the biggest shift in my happiness and inner peace.
